Trip 2: Day 01: Home to Narrabri

Tuesday 02/04/2013 Home to Narrabri

The Homes family has put the scars behind them from last years trip. It has been 190 days since we parked the van in our front yard. We spent Easter weekend getting prepared for our "2013 Cane Toad into Cockroach Territory Trip".
We left early at 05:36 and Les did the first stint up to Warwick. We topped the fuel up at Caltex. We had a 2nd breakfast at HJ's and swapped drivers. Amanda drove through to Goondiwindi where we had a quick stop and look around. Les then drove through to Moree where we drove through Town and back onto the Newell Highway. We arrived at Narrabri at 14:00. We parked the van at the show-grounds and then went into Town. We had a look around the main street. Amanda completed 10 laps of main street and then got caught at the worlds worst give way sign! Topped fuel up again at the Shell and then picked up "cheap Tuesday" at Dom's. Ryan managed to convince Amanda there are fish in the Narrabri Creek after he diligently researched fishing spots using google. He now has added the Golden Perch (1kg/38cm?) to his list of species caught in Australia. The show-grounds are great value for money.
