Day 48: Pinnacle Caravan Park Cervantes to Moore River Bridge Rest Area.

Saturday 11/08/2012 Day 48: Pinnacle Caravan Park Cervantes to Moore River Bridge Rest Area.

The sliding door on the Wicked Van wore off last night as the girls visited the loo. They also cleared the van at least once!. It wasn’t too cold overnight, just a gentle sea breeze. We packed up all the washing and the van and watched the Apollo Campervan navigate past the tree and out the caravan park. It was a picturesque drive down past the Wanagarren Nature Reserve full of Grass Trees and up to Nilgen lookout. We passed the Lancelin Army Live firing range. At the Nilgen lookout we met a couple from Rockingham who told us the Navy sometimes fires rounds from the ocean into the range!!.Les missed the turn-off to the Rest Area and had to do a U-turn about 5km’s past the bridge. The area is next to the Indian Ocean Drive in a gully next to a river. It is very small area with a single long drop and a dump point. The road noise should be interesting overnight. We couldn’t get into our Perth Caravan Park today, the office is not open on Saturday’s (Sabbath). We had 2 other caravans park here overnight all from Qld. Les woke up hearing the feral cats fighting outside our van.
