Day 53: Perth CBD again!

Thursday 16/08/2012 Day 53: Perth CBD again!

We were up early and catching the #299 Bus at 07:45 to the Esplanade Busport, changed over to #31 Bus and off to the Perth Zoo. The kids had a ball. Ryan organised the Map and we selected some activities. We got a walk through the Tamarind Enclosure, watched the Little Penguins get fed (they fly under water) and stroked a Children’s Python in the Reptile Enclosure. We saw all the Animals except the South American Birds. Les’s favourite was the Nocturnal House, Amanda’s favourite was the Orangutan’s, Amy’s favourite the Penguin’s and Ryan’s favourite the Dingo’s. We had kebabs at Mends St South Perth and caught the Ferry back to the Esplanade. We walked up to St George Terrace and caught the #37 Bus to Kings Park. Well what a view from the Park! We had a wander around and caught the Bus back to the City using FTZ (Free Transfer Zone). We then caught the right bus home #299 which dropped us right outside Advent Park. Off to Midland Shopping Centre to stock up for the next week. Also topped up the car and filled the 2 Jerry Cans with the cheaper fuel, as we move out of Perth. The weather today was a perfect winters day, sunshine all day and no breeze. Quick mention that Perth’s Public Transport system is great. It is very easy to move around by Bus. The Transperth Journey Planner, the CAT buses and FTZ make travelling very cheap.
