Thursday 23/08/2012 Day 60: Tourist Day Albany.
It rained early morning. We all had
a sleep in. We drove off to Whale World. The kids learnt a lot about whaling
and enjoyed the 3d movie, whale skeleton, processing machinery & retired whale
chaser “Cheynes IV”. The most enjoyable bit was the Native Animals enclosure.
The kids loved the Southern Hairy Wombat playing with his football. We then
went to Stony Hill, Blowhole – where we saw 2 whales feeding and finally the
Gap & Natural Bridge. We parked off York St and did a pedestrian lap up
& down. Recommend the Artisan Gelato ice creams. At the Caravan Park Amanda
& Amy caught up with Laundry then walked along the beach. Ryan & Les
went fishing off the jetty. They caught a Port Jackson shark & an Eel-Tailed Catfish. We will miss Albany. Didn’t like the weather, loved the town.
Daily Stats: Distance: 121km, Duration: 6hrs30min, Weather:
