Wednesday 29/08/2012 Day 66: Kalgoorlie-Boulder to Fraser
Range Rest Area.
Sad to leave Kalgoorlie-Boulder
today, Les will miss this place. Drove down to Kambalda then back onto the
Coolgardie-Esperance Hwy. Blinked through Widgiemooltha and passed dry Lake
Cowan. We stopped for fuel & a pit-stop at Norseman. Changed drivers and
headed off along the Eyre Hwy. We stopped at the Western end of the Fraser Rest
Area where there is heaps of room & a single stainless long drop. Someone
has stocked the toilet with car fresheners and soft toilet paper. Ryan and Les
scratched around looking for metallic rocks. There is heaps of fool’s gold
lying around here. It has cooled down quick after the sun went down. This is
our 1st day across the Nullarbor.
