The birds were knocking on the
door this morning for breakfast. We were up early 07:23 (ACST) and off towards
QLD. We found the road-works before the border, had got bigger than 12 weeks
ago! Amanda enjoyed driving. We passed through Camooweal had a driver change at
the David Hall Rest Area and stopped for fuel at Mt Isa. We continued on the
Barkly Hwy onto Cloncurry where we had lunch in the same park near woollies. It
was bloody hot 37 degrees C. We continued on the Flinders Hwy, turned into the
Landsborough Hwy and had the final driver change at McKinlay. We arrived at
Kynuna Roadhouse at 16:10 (AEST) The
caravan park here is the cheapest we have been at that has all the amenities;
laundry, water, electricity, showers, toilet, dump point and level sites for
only $15 for 2 adults & 2 children. The 2 resident wild brolgas are free.
