We woke up to the sound of wallabies foraging through the park. Had a quick breakfast and then off to queue for the 09:00 2 Gorges Cultural Tour. WOW this place is amazing & beautiful. Even though this is the dry season the colour of the rocks and height of the gorge above the water line is impressive. The tour was informative and we enjoyed the story of the “mimi” protection. We got to see where the dominant female fresh water crocodile was starting to scratch the sand where she was going to nest. Drove into Katherine to get Internet Coverage and started arranging the next couple of days. I managed through our great Jayco Dealer at Dubbo to secure a replacement part for the jayco Pump which is being posted to the darwin GPO. Not sure when it will arrive. Amanda had her 10 day blues and gave all of us a good serving. Ryan and I tried Barra fishing again and Amanda & Amy walked up to the lookout and took some photos of the setting sun over the gorge. Ryan & I watched the 2nd half of the State of Origin with an enthusiastic NSW crowd around the pool. Go Queensland. The facilities at this National Park are excellent. Bit tight in parking the camper van.
