Day 14: Tourist Day in Darwin.

Sunday 08/07/2012 Day 14: Tourist Day in Darwin.

We woke up after a very hot night. We got moving into Darwin. We visited Bunnings at Palmerston to get an extra electrical lead, my 3 x 5 metre leads sometimes do not reach. The GPS took us past a harbour. We parked outside Parliament House and were informed the pillars were designed to imitate the bombs dropped on Darwin. We picked up our National Park passes at the Visitor Center. We then had a look around the Museum. We thoroughly enjoyed the Cyclone Tracy exhibit and went to the war Museum where we voted we had enough of Museums today. We did the suburban thing and visited Casuarina Shopping Center in air conditioned comfort. Grabbed supplies for the next week and Ryan received an extendable, knot free landing net that may prevent losing his next fish and protect our fingers from Crocs. We made our way back to Mindil Beach and walked around till the sun set on the ocean. We ate at the multi-national takeaways at the markets, Amy Mexican, Amanda Australian Local Produce & Ryan & Les ate Hong Kong getting back to the Big 4 at 19:15
