Sunday 01/07/2012 Day 7: Barkly Homestead to Attack Creek.
Woke up very late the Homestead was nearly empty. We left at
10:00. We arrived at the Three Ways Roadhouse at Lunchtime. Had a look around
and moved on. We got to Attack Creek at 13:15 and the place already had a dozen
caravans parked for the night. The place had 1 toilet. The rest area filled up
very quickly. The kids went exploring in the creek, there was 2 puddles. They
tested out the metal detector (thanks Hyland Family). The place was very windy
and there were open fires near our camper!!! Ryan had a number 1 hair cut using
the clippers on our supercheap 120W 12V/240V inverter. A hoon drove past in the
early hours of the morning and held his car horn for at least 5 km’s as he went
past!! Amanda & I had a giggle everyone was young once, poor grey nomads.
