Day 15: Another Tourist Day in Darwin.

Monday 09/07/2012 Day 15: Another Tourist Day in Darwin.

Today we travelled to the GPO to find our parcel has not arrived. Rang Jayco in Dubbo and got the tracking number for the Express Post package they sent last Wednesday. Apparently overnight Express Post covers all of Australia except for Darwin. I’ll have to check tomorrow at 04:30 to see if the parcel has arrived. We walked through the mall and had frozen cokes at Macca’s. The temperature was over 30 degrees. We then took the children to Fannie Bay Gaol but they would not keep them. Every time we say Fannie Bay or see a sign to Fannie Bay the kids wet themselves. The gaol was last operational in 1999 and was the site of the last hanging in Darwin. We had sandwiches in the Botanical gardens and then got out of the sun. We picked up supplies for the coming week at the Palmerston Coles. Amanda found a Woolworths Caltex at Coolalinga and we topped up the car. Back at the Big 4 at 16:15

Daily Stats: Distance: 67km, Duration: 06hrs, Weather: Really Hot.

Darwin Mall
Darwin Harbour
Fannie Bay Gaol
