Monday 02/07/2012 Day 8: Attack Creek to Warloch Rest Area.
We woke up early for the start of our2nd week.
Had the van packed in 15 minutes and left at 07:45. We drove with a tail wind all
the way today. We drove past Banka Banka at 08:30, lots of caravans. We had a
quick pit stop at Renner Springs (have a look at the hats). Diesel was $1.90.
Drove onto Elliot and topped up at $1.95! an interesting town, Amanda made a
friend. Cars and caravans were queuing up to get fuel. Moved off past our
original planned stop at Newcastle Waters at 10:30 there were already 3 vans
parked. We had lunch at Daly Waters Pub, recommend the Barra Wrap or Barra
Burger. The bras and knickers, thongs and caps are interesting. The nights must
be really wild for knickers & bras to stay on the ceiling. We arrived at
Warloch Rest Area at 14:45 and fidgeted around till we got a park upwind of the
nearly full Long Drop (x2). There were 12 vans already here.
