Sunday 12/08/2012 Day 49: Moore River Bridge Rest Area to
Advent Park Maida Vale.
Les woke up and said “it’s not
raining” and then it rained. We packed quickly in the light rain. The feral
cats had sprayed our front tyres. We left early at 07:38 for the short drive
into Perth. It had been a while since we were in a big city. We followed the
GPS and arrived in light rain at the Caravan Park. The park is big with only 35
caravan sites. We picked a nice spot and drove through and parked. With the
forecast we decided to put ropes on the boat racks and poles in the bag end fly’s.
We finished and then it bucketed down. We had a quick “reccy” at where the car
is getting serviced. We went to Westfield at Cannington but the shops were
shut. We drove back in the rain to a local supermarket and picked up a few
supplies. It blew and rained till late in the evening. We had a couple of extra
showers early morning and it felt cold.
